American black walnut, is one of the most respected North American fine hardwoods. The timber can be a light coffee colour to a dark chocolate brown. A single board can vary significantly in colour. Walnut is moderately heavy, very strong and exceptionally stable. It can be used for furniture, cabinets, doors, flooring, and architectural woodwork.
